Thompson Raises $500,000 for Liberty STEAM Charter School at Sold-Out Golf Tournament

SUMTER, S.C.  – Thompson Construction Group and Thompson Turner Construction are proud to announce that their annual golf tournament, held Friday, October 24, at Quixote Club in Sumter, raised $500,000 in support of Liberty STEAM Charter School.

The sold-out event kicked off Thursday night with dinner and a private concert by Little Big Town. On Friday, the tournament brought together 36 teams from across the region for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and community impact. Funds raised will help Liberty STEAM Charter continue its mission to provide students with access to a world-class, STEAM-based education that prepares them to become the next generation of leaders, employers, and innovators.

“We’re incredibly proud of how our employees, sponsors, and community partners come together each year to support education and opportunity in our region,” said Greg Thompson, president and CEO of Thompson Construction Group and chairman of the Liberty STEAM Charter Board. “This tournament reflects what’s possible when business and education work hand in hand to build a stronger future for South Carolina.”

Thompson extends its sincere appreciation to Quixote Club, Quixote Hospitality, and all sponsors and volunteers whose generosity and partnership made this year’s tournament a success.

This year’s winning team was Thompson Turner Construction Site Work, featuring Justin Cromer, Sharp Turner, Robinson Sanders, and William Kinney.
